In America, Elon Musk’s company Tesla has recalled 22 lakh vehicles. This is the largest recall ever by any company. America’s ‘National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’ (NHTSA) said on Friday (February 2), that the wrong font size of the warning light in the dashboard of the cars is causing the risk of vehicle crashes.
Even two months ago, Tesla had recalled 20.3 lakh vehicles. A recall was then carried out to install new safety measures in the Autopilot advanced driver assistance system. This was the largest recall at the time.
Tesla’s new Cyber Truck is also on the recall list:
Tesla is under investigation by NHTSA for its autonomous driving assistance. The vehicles currently being recalled include Tesla’s Model S, NHTSA said.
Tesla began releasing updates:
Tesla has begun issuing a free ‘over-the-air software update’ to fix the problem, the US regulator said. According to the recall report, ‘This update increases the letter font size of the brake, park and antilock brake system (ABS) visual warning indicators. In fact, warning lights with small font sizes can make important safety information on the instrument panel difficult to read, increasing the risk of an accident.
