It is being told that this plane crashed in Williamson County on Wednesday. It was a small plane, whose crash resulted in the death of three people. Local officials confirmed this. Williamson County Chief Deputy Mark Elrod told reporters that the plane had taken off from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and was headed to Louisville, Kentucky.

He said the plane crashed in Tennessee, about 48.28 kilometers south of Nashville, around noon local time. Elrod said wreckage from the plane was spread over an area of more than a mile. From this, the fatality of the accident can be easily estimated.

However, it is fortunate that there is no report of any building being damaged due to the plane crash. The names of those killed in the incident have not been released. Williamson County Emergency Management Agency spokeswoman Jill Bergin said they received the call around 12:05 p.m.

The caller called and informed about the accident.

“The caller simply expressed fear of a plane crash and didn’t have a lot of details. They just heard a sound and saw debris. That’s all the information they provided,” Bergin said during a news conference Wednesday. The Federal Aviation Association (FAA) identified the aircraft as a single-engine Beechcraft V35. The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating the incident.
