India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt Ltd has launched the chrome color edition of its cruiser bike in the Indian market on 7th February. The company has kept its ex-showroom price at Rs 1.40 lakh. Yamaha showcased this bike at the recently held Bharat Mobility Show 2024.
Safety features like traction control have been provided in this bike. Apart from the new color option, there is no change in the design, features and dimensions of the bike. Apart from the chrome model, the Yamaha FZ-X is also available in Matte Titan, Dark Matte Blue, Metallic Black and Matte Copper color options.
The first 100 online booking customers of this variant will get a free Casio G-Shock watch on delivery of the bike. You can book it from the Yamaha India website for Rs 2,000. Yamaha says delivery will be subject to stock availability. This may take around 45 days.
The Yamaha FZ-X is powered by a 149cc single-cylinder engine, which generates 12.4ps of power at 7250rpm and 13.3Nm of peak torque at 5500rpm. The engine is tuned to a 5-speed gearbox for transmission. For suspension, the bike gets inverted telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear.
The Y-Connect app will be available with the 2024 Yamaha FZ-X Deluxe bike. This app will connect the bike and mobile with each other. In this, phone notifications can be viewed on the bike’s instrument cluster screen.
These include call alerts, SMS, e-mail, app connectivity status and phone battery level status. Bike instructions can be viewed on the phone. It includes maintenance recommendation, last parking location fault notification, revs dashboard and ranking.
